About the job

The Communication Specialist will support ONWARD in its communication activities in the French markets, with a focus on France. Your primary focus will be on increasing awareness for ONWARD, our  mission, and the innovative therapies we are developing for the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) community and other stakeholders.


  • Establishing voice, tone, and style guidelines for communications that will resonate in French markets.

  • Creating and managing French social media channels for ONWARD and maintaining the editorial calendar for French communications, in coordination with the global calendar.

  • Promoting content on social media and monitoring engagement.

  • Ensuring that the organization’s content emphasizes premium content, including storytelling, testimonials, and intriguing graphics leveraging video and other media.

  • Updating previous content to meet new content requirements.

  • Ensuring content consistency across all platforms, including websites, social media platforms, and video content.

  • Utilizing style and trademarking guides to ensure consistency across all platforms in formatting and punctuation, while verifying content accuracy.

  • Maintaining, refreshing, and continuously improving the content on the website, including the resources page and client testimonials for the French markets.

  • Writing/ translating articles, blog posts, press releases, social media updates, collateral, and other content for external channels.

  • Guiding content creation with information and knowledge from partner teams.

  • Ensuring and maintaining compliance with ONWARD and European media consent requirements.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business, marketing, or science-related field preferred)

  • Good knowledge of a variety of content platforms, such as print media, blogs, and social media.

  • Understanding of web analytic tools.

  • Native fluency verbal, written, and editing abilities in French.

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Close attention to detail is required.

  • Ability to manage time and deadlines with in-depth project management knowledge.

  • The ability to keep up with changes in technology, consumer trends, and content.

  • Experience in Graphic Design would be a plus.
