About the job

As the Communications Manager at ONWARD Medical, you will play a pivotal role in driving corporate and marketing communications activities for the company in Europe. Your primary focus will be on increasing awareness of ONWARD Medical and our mission to develop and commercialize innovative therapies for the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Community and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ONWARD Medical’s communications plan for European markets, in alignment with the company's objectives and the global communications strategy.

  • Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to create and maintain a well-structured company communications calendar.

  • Craft compelling written and visual communications materials to support product launches, brand initiatives, investor relations activities, and other business needs.

  • Amplify ONWARD Medical’s social media engagement in Europe and set and track related key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Enhance ONWARD's online presence with ideas and assets for both corporate websites.

  • Maintain corporate elements of the company’s websites and other online assets.

  • Oversee graphic design, photography, videography, and other visual production activities related to corporate and European communications.

  • Draft, translate (as needed), and manage publication of key corporate communications, including press releases and investor communications.

  • Maintain investor relations database and coordinate list-related communications and marketing activities.

  • Manage and respond to incoming corporate communications via email, website registrations, and other inquiry channels.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of various communications activities.

  • Collaborate with the company's executives on public relations, including messaging for any issue or crisis communications, with a focus on Europe.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with European media.

About you

  • Background in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, and/or Business Administration.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as Public Relations,, Communications, Investor Relations, Marketing, or related fields in Europe. Experience in the Life Sciences industry is preferred.

  • Proven ability to create and manage diverse communications materials and content, including written and visual elements, press releases, corporate materials, and social media content. Experience with media relations and working with vendors is essential.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills in native-level English and at least one other of the following languages: French, German, Dutch..

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to different audiences; for example, investors, clinicians, and / or patients.

  • Effective project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting budget and deadline requirements.

  • Attention to detail, follow-through, and a sense of urgency.

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Flexibility and willingness to be hands-on when needed.

  • Creative problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in cross-cultural business environments with a global outlook.

  • Ethical, positive, and possessing a can-do attitude.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and Adobe Pro, including Illustrator. Experience with other graphical applications (e.g., Canva) a plus.
