Internship - Technical Documentation & Translation

Onward Medical is seeking a motivated intern for 4-6 months to support the ARC-BCI program team by translating and enhancing key technical development and manufacturing documentation. The ARC-BCI system is a cutting-edge hardware-based mechatronics device designed to interface with brain-computer systems in the neurostimulation field.
Responsibilities:
Set up the DHF (Design History File) and DMF (Device Master File) structure in our electronic Quality Management System (eQMS), ensuring proper document control and traceability.
Translate core technical documents from French to English, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Review and enhance the technical content, particularly related to hardware and mechatronics, in alignment with engineering input and regulatory expectations.
Support the organization and traceability of system and design requirements in Jira and Jama, working closely with the engineering team.
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to collect missing inputs and align document content.
Format documents in compliance with Onward’s development and manufacturing templates and procedures.
Participate in iteration cycles to refine and finalize documentation for internal and external use.
About you
Background in Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering or related technical fields (Bachelor or Master level).
Strong written skills in both French and English; technical writing experience is expected.
First experience with hardware documentation, development processes, requirements systems, or eQMS is a strong asset.
Detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative mindset.
