US Associate Marketing Director

At ONWARD we're looking for a US Associate Marketing Director to join our team.
Full-time · United States of America

About the job

The US Associate Marketing Director will play a critical role in launching our first breakthrough medical technology in the U.S market. Partnering closely with the Global Marketing Director, this strategic, hands-on leader will help shape and execute a bold go-to-market strategy, turning vision into high-impact, integrated campaigns. This role will lead key U.S. marketing initiatives across multiple channels—building brand awareness, accelerating adoption, and fueling market momentum—while ensuring messaging is clear, compelling, and strategically targeted for maximum impact. Positioned at the forefront of healthcare innovation, this role offers the opportunity to lead high-priority projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and engage both internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the U.S. regional marketing strategy, focused on building brand awareness, generating demand, and driving adoption—leveraging a data-driven approach to measure and optimize impact.

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and value drivers that inform the value proposition.

  • Refine and implement the brand strategy, including market segmentation, targeting, positioning, and messaging tailored to the U.S. audience.

  • Translate the strategy into tactical marketing plans to support product promotion, channel optimization, and commercial execution across the U.S. region.

  • Design and deliver integrated marketing campaigns—spanning traditional, digital, and direct-to-consumer channels—in collaboration with creative agencies and external vendors.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality sales enablement materials such as brochures, animations, videos, presentations, product briefs, and competitive intelligence tools.

  • Act as the key marketing liaison for sales teams, providing messaging guidance and therapeutic/product expertise to support field success.

  • Lead planning and coordination for U.S.-based conferences, congresses, and trade shows; represent the brand on-site to engage key stakeholders.

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with KOLs, professional societies, and patient advocacy groups; identify thought leaders and manage consulting engagements.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, clinical developments, and customer insights to shape strategic and tactical decision-making.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations to inform forecasting, demand planning, and commercial readiness.

  • Support corporate communications efforts, ensuring alignment with broader company messaging and milestones.

  • Manage post-market surveillance insights, partnering with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with ONWARD’s quality systems and feedback loops.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a science-related discipline.

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

  • A minimum of 8–10 years of experience in marketing or a related field, ideally within MedTech, medical devices, consumer healthtech, or life sciences. Experience in the neurorehabilitation and/or neuromodulation/stimulation markets is strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (in either a sales or marketing capacity) is required; prior sales experience is an asset.

  • Proven track record of success in product launches, particularly within the MedTech industry.

  • Solid understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels, with hands-on experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategies.

  • Creative and self-directed problem solver, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong intellectual curiosity, with a commitment to continuous learning and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.

  • Experience working in global, cross-cultural environments.

  • High ethical standards, with a collaborative mindset and a pragmatic, can-do attitude.

  • Represents the ONWARD Code.
